Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz presided over a high-level meeting on Thursday to assess the status of higher education scholarships and the iPad scheme.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the incomplete briefing, the chief minister called for a comprehensive plan for the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) scholarships scheme.
According to Radio Pakistan, CM Maryam directed the initiation of a student survey for both the iPad and laptop schemes, emphasising the commitment to modernising higher education and related institutions.
She affirmed that the government would take further measures to address the needs of students in relation to the laptop and iPad initiatives.
The meeting was attended by key figures, including former Senator Pervez Rasheed, Maryam Aurangzeb from the Provincial Assembly, Nosheen Adnan, Rana Sikandar Hayat, Chief Secretary, Chairman P&D, Secretary Finance, Secretary Higher Education, Chairman PITB, and other officials.
