    Finance Minister of Azad Kashmir Chaudhary Lateef Akbar will present Rs 73 billion budget for 2016-17 today. According to sources 2,000 youngsters will be provided jobs through micro-financing during fiscal 2016-17.

    The budget will be Rs 5 billion more than the Rs 68 billion in 2015-16.

    Sources said that Rs 61 billion is allocated for non-development while only Rs 12 billion is allocated for development.

    A sum of Rs 410 million will be allocated for health, Rs 160 million for tourism and Rs 125 million will be allocated for Information Technology.

    Sources said that during the last fiscal year the Azad Kashmir government had to complete 119 projects as per the development budget but only 99 were completed.
